The French overseas territory St. Pierre et Miquelon (population 5,800) now has the highest tariff rates in the world at 99% Their exports are valued at just $3.5 million dollars a year. My guess as to what happened here is that they likely export a tiny amount (like $100 k

Today is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Grolloo in the Netherlands by the 1st Canadian Army. British & Polish troops also liberated surrounding areas. The people of Grolloo remember, from the oldest to the youngest, & greet veterans every year

For those of you paying attention, we have stories coming from Ontario PCs and Liberals that Poilievre may lose his own seat right as Tim Houston releases a (fantastic) “Get to know me” video and that ain’t hard to puzzle out.

BREAKING... BC Ferries has awarded China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyards to build 4 new major ships. The multi-billion dollar contract, the most expensive ever, will be completed in a Chinese shipyard, a state-owned enterprise. #bcpoli #vanpoli dailyhive.com/vancouver/bc-f…

An absolute farce that the Province selects a company that is owned by a Government which arbitrarily arrests Canadian citizens for this project. We're trying to rebuild this country's ship-building prowess. We're trying to protect Canadian interests. And they do this.

This will be a defining moment in Premier Eby's time leading this Province. Especially if he and Minister Farnworth don't intervene to reverse this ludicrous decision. Seaspan might be at capacity, so find a Canadian shipyard that isn't. Failing that, find an ally to build 'em.
