Obviously the cop who fired this round can’t be held liable—even if it was done deliberately, with malice, and in violation of the 1Am. But why? (If it took you more than 5 seconds to come up with a doctrinally sound answer, then you are emphatically *not* Article III material.)

As Joseph Cox of 404 Media reports, DHS has been using Predator drones to surveil anti-ICE protestors in LA. In my own research, I've studied how DHS uses drones for border surveillance & domestic surveillance. 🧵1/9

The interesting question is who should pay the costs for plants deemed needed by the US DOE because of a national emergency, when regional grid operators, companies, and state regulators all agree the plant can retire without undue risks. I say: federal order=>federal taxpayers.

I don’t know what Mr. Tucker saw, but locally what I saw were signs with a mix of anti-Trump, pro-America, and pro-immigration messages. Saw no advocacy for violence against the president or anyone else. A lot of 🇺🇸and 🌈and a few ☮️signs from the older generation.

The realest: Two key steps the Department should consider in electric power: (1) for service that can be competitively provided, eliminate all state and federal laws, regulations, practices that restrict entry or price; and (2) for service that cannot be competitively provided,

Good crisp argument in favor of cost of service utility regulation as the mode of organizing the electricity system, as opposed to the never ending search for the perfect set of price signals. 👇

Really? I thought it was a good crisp argument in favor of markets as a mode of organizing the electricity system, as opposed to the never ending search for the perfect regulatory construct 😄
