⚠️ BAD NEWS: The latest Wild Bird Indicator shows that almost ALL bird types are in decline, with many at risk of extinction. The figures are clear. Not enough is being done to reverse the decline of our precious birds. (1/7) theguardian.com/environment/20…

Our Bat Walk at Dorset's Bere Marsh Farm was led by Mariko Whyte from Dorset Bat Group. Participants caught glimpses of bat fly pasts and we made recordings of soprano and common pipistrelle, and noctule bat species. Our next Bat Walk is in the Autumn. thecrt.co.uk/Event/discover…

Why not take next weekend off from documenting species declines, observing ecosystem destruction & researching conservation approaches that are not implemented? And instead take part in our biggest ever march for nature - demanding effective action now restorenaturenow.com

Up to 100,000 peacefully marched through London for nature and I don’t see it on the mainstream media. If one person had committed a crime, defaced a building or punched a police officer it would be everywhere. And people wonder why activists resort to stunts and vandalism.

Pretty much every nature organisation, 350 of them, tens of thousands of scientists, conservationists and growers march through London to tell the UK the manifestos are woefully inadequate to protect nature and us. Unprecedented. BBC News (UK) … nothing 👀

I have complained to the BBC, please join me, and will take it to OFCOM. BBC did the same by ignoring the 40,000 people at the climate weekend a couple of years ago, yet they reported on a march of about 100 people demonstrating against ULEZ

Just spent an amazing few days Knepp Wilding and saw very little in the way of inverts either in number of diversity despite abundant habitat. Really weird to see sunny hogweed flowers absolutely devoid of insect life.
