Q6: Trust of national institutions can be a barrier to accessing some communities. They may have been exploited in the past. But archives can work with underrepresented minority groups to assist them in preserving their own Intangible Cultural Heritage. #ArchiveHour

Through projects like the Thomas McCarthy Collecting Project, ITMA returned archival collections to members of the Traveller community while empowering Thomas in his contemporary collecting of songs & stories from his own community. It’s a perfect partnership! #archivehour
