A lacy mottled red or purple pattern on white skin and dark or brownish coloured blotches on dark skin. most commonly found on the legs, arms and trunk but can also affect the face, hands, feet & buttocks. Caused by an interruption of blood flow to the small blood vessels. #lupus

This is actually a something that not all people realise can be a symptom of lupus & often wrongly attribute it to hormonal changes such as menopause etc. Another strange symptom I experienced & had no idea what it was as it was prior to receiving a lupus diagnosis. #lupus
