Very proud that across NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight we’ve already given over 100 000 Covid-19 autumn boosters. Our PCNs, Solent NHS Trust and our 4 acute Trusts are working hard to keep us all safe.

Unfortunately hospital admissions with covid are rising steeply again across England. No specific variant to blame (yet) but a combo of waning immunity, changing behaviour, and a soup of new more immune evasive variants growing (but not yet dominant). 1/2

I spent time at @nhsswft with Martha Kearney this week and heard about their work getting people who may not need to be in hospital the care they need in the community or at home — this is better for patients, their families and eases pressure on the NHS.
