I refuse to let Tom Ascol & Al Mohler(who celebrate the slaveholding founders), make decisions for the Cornerstone Church where I pastor, regarding the role of women. To deny women the right to exercise proclamation gifts, given by the Holy Spirit violates conscience & freedom.

I agree with Rick Warren on gift verses office. By denying women the right to exercise gifts given to them by Holy Spirit, the SBC is continuing to abuse women. I respect Warren for standing on biblical principle, & not capitulating to non biblical traditional sbc thought.

Disfellowshipping Saddleback and Rick Warren would, in my opinion, be a grave error. It would set a dangerous precedent of weaponizing the BFM2K in ways that were not intended at time of its passing. Are we going to make BFM2K creedal instead of confessional? #SBC22

The grand irony of the #SBC23 results is that if women in leadership at every SBC church took a year off from serving, next years convention numbers would be a abysmal.

#SBC23 “hey ladies you can’t be pastors.” Also, #SBC23 “but you can be foreign missionaries. Go to third world countries. Preach the gospel to men and women. Shepherd people. Start churches. Risk your lives for Jesus. But don’t call yourself a pastor. .

When I read “ We are fighting the liberals in the SBC!” From an SBC pastor I am reminded that most of never met a true liberal before.
