am sitting in an empty lot in rolling fork. saw a postal service worker drive into the lot, spend a few minutes staring out the destruction, wipe his face, then leave. in awe of his sense of duty to continue his job, even when there are no mailboxes to deliver to.

It's good Biden came — this state is obviously hurting. But Mississippians rarely get a chance to intimately connect with a president. Questionable decision by WH to keep local reporters, who know this place and its people better than anyone, from getting some time with him.
