Paldies, Evika Siliņa 🇱🇻🇺🇦, ačiū, Gintautas Paluckas for a warm meeting. Connectivity is key to Baltic security and wealth. Getting Rail Baltic main route ready by 2030 must be our shared priority. We need action on Russia’s shadow fleet and will lead the way in boosting defence spending.

Russia is still not interested in peace - it only understands pressure and strength. The 18th EU sanctions package must be adopted without delay and hit where it hurts the most. Ukraine has the right to choose its future and Alliances. Russia has no say in this.

Today is the Day for Protection of Children. In Europe, the biggest threat to their safety is Putin’s war. Russia has killed hundreds of Ukrainian children and forcibly deported dozens of thousands. We cannot give up our support. Children in Ukraine deserve a better tomorrow.
