We’re thrilled to have uncovered this stunning decorated Grooved Ware vessel in the bottom of a pit at the Bill Needingworth quarry. Dating to approximately 2900-2400 BC, the pot was probably placed in the pit whole and collapsed from the weight of soil above it. More soon.
