Being healthy is not a “patriotic duty”. More often than not, a person gets absolutely no say in when and how they become disabled. It will happen to everyone eventually. Our “duty” should be to protect one another, including those who are ill or elderly.

“Just stay home” is not a public health strategy. Non disabled people were livid during stay at home orders. They found the idea of being forced to stay home unpalatable, yet they’re only too happy to demand the disabled do it for the rest of our lives.
