Student of the Year 💙 One of our lovely second year midwives, Laura Butcher, is our student of the year! We couldn’t be more proud of you Laura 💗 Congratulations 🥳

Margaret Charles Smith was considered one of the oldest practicing, traditional African American Midwife in Alabama. Over her many years as a midwife, she was hard working and determined to attend to all women and babies that she could, and overcome hardship. #BlackHistoryMonth

Mary Coley: Coley was an African American Lay Midwife who ran a business providing birth services, during her 30 year career. Midwives such as Mary Coley have played an important role in history, breaking down segregational barriers and helping to promote inclusive care for all💙
