The primary concern is the child victims and their families and loved ones in Southport. If you are one of those ghouls instead seeking to weaponise their pain for some ghastly agenda it might be worth taking the night and possibly the rest of eternity off social media.

Everyone should read ‘Poor’ by Katriona O'Sullivan. This powerful book offers a profound insight into the challenges faced by those growing up in poverty. “Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, but it requires understanding and empathy from those who provide it.”

The arsonists last night destroyed a Citizens Advice Bureau. For those outside the UK, that's a place where the British public, particularly low income or disadvantaged communities, get free legal advice and support. Staff are devastated. "We're protecting our community"

More than 500 CYP a day are referred to mental health services for anxiety, 2x pre-pandemic rates. Creating psychologically safe environments, a focus on connection & belonging AND helping YP make sense of experiences, school can do so much to support. ow.ly/hZZG50T7kub

It is through healthy relationships with loving people that children heal from trauma. The children learn to trust again through these relationships. Thank you Bruce D. Perry, M.D.,Ph.D.

Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams is the most brilliant programme and the most brilliant example of what placing faith in young people who haven’t always had that privilege, can achieve. Human kindness, humour, resilience and a genuine connection between him and the boys 💕

Even as a politics lecturer in a Middle East department, I am lost. Israel has a right to self defence, but Lebanon does not? Israelis have the right to be safe, but Palestinians do not? Iran can’t launch missiles into civilian areas, but Israel can? None of this is coherent.
