There’s much ignorance about how the HM Treasury education VAT gouge operates. It’s not a tariff on schools, it’s a tariff on a class of parents who pay for but don’t use their state funded place. Those parents have various reasons & for many the state place is inappropriate.



Steve Lawrence HM Treasury My son went private because he wasn’t offered a State place. Had he been, he’d have gone private anyway because the local state schools to us were failing. They should fix the state system. That’s Bridget Phillipson’s job and she’s failing miserably.
