Our Chairman Tom Morris has just finished the IStructE East Anglia AGM and is now handing over to the current IStructE President Jane Entwistle for her talk on 'Learning through the Conservation and Preservation of historic structures'.

Jane has educated us on her working past and now she is talking us through a restoration project she had been involved with at Wentworth Castle Conservatory restoration WentworthCastleTrust IStructE

The finished state after a lot of hard work on the Grade II* listed building. National Trust WentworthCastleTrust

Jane has now gone onto the restoration of Wythenshawe Hall 🐝 following a major fire in 2016 and the involved cloud point survey utilised for forming the required restoration work. Historic England IStructE

And finally the damage to the main gable and Jane's favourite member of the team.... Sam the 'Rot Hound' who was trained to find dry rot in the timber structure.

The next commendation winner was Simon Howes of Superstructures for his brilliant work at the University of Suffolk East building. IStructE
