12 Inf Bn had the pleasure today of hosting Commission on the Defence Forces The Commission on the Defence Forces met with groups of Privates, Corporals and Sargeants, Lieutenants and Captains, Senior NCOS and Commandants, and OC 12 Inf Bn. #StrengthenTheNation #Infantry

Today, Commission on the Defence Forces visited 27 Infantry Battalion. Members of the unit engaged on a wide range of issues pertinent to the unit and the wider Óglaigh na hÉireann.

Thank you DF_Sgt_Major. Our engagement with the folks at the frontline is absolutely essential to informing our work in Commission on the Defence Forces. We’ve had very open and honest discussions in every barracks and base visited.

Yesterday, 3 Inf Bn welcomed Commission on the Defence Forces to James Stephens Barracks. The Commission engaged with members of all ranks within the unit on a wide range of topics and issues. #DílisGoBráth

This afternoon the Commission had an extremely positive engagement with senior leaders in the RDF. Following 2 days of plenary meetings on Tuesday & Wednesday, the Commission concluded an intensive week with a visit to McKee Barracks today where a series of very informative meetings were held with various DFHQ Branch & Corps Directors, their staff & personnel of all ranks.

The Commission continued its extensive consultation programme today with a visit to LÉ WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS at Dublin Port. Members received a tour of the ship and met with personnel of all ranks to hear their views Óglaigh na hÉireann Irish Naval Service Gone to Bluesky

Another busy week for the Commission, commencing with a visit to the Defence Forces Training Centre @ DFTC_Official where members met with personnel of all ranks, followed by an intensive three days of meetings as the Commission reaches the critical stage of its deliberations.

This week the Commission had another full day meeting. The Commission has been making good progress on finalising its draft report but will need some additional time and will meet again in January.
