One of the key messages coming from lots of talks is the need for historians to be able to provide a complex but understandable explanation of what history offers when talking to policy makers. Not 'lessons' from the past. #historypolicy

This has to be a starting point for any historian, and needs careful thought as historians often propagate myths about simple links between past, present and future, as Klaus Neumann highlights #historypolicy
