reading papers in an area you're not familiar with is so frustrating. many such cases (at least I hope 4o isn't gaslighting me about it, but this seems to be right)

ben eric provencher tried that a couple of time with coding agents and their doc systems. they were prolific writers and horrible editors. much more complicated processes are needed to drive them to review old texts, find inconsistencies and so on.
