The city has filed another lawsuit against the state over ab1955. They used the help of (no joke) America First Legal Foundation. The city is claiming since we are now a “Parents Right to Know” city, ab1955 goes against our local ordinance. #huntingtonbeach #lawsuit

The city of Huntington Beach is using the story of a parent who forced the high school to revert back to their child’s dead name. The parent said their child is now “becoming herself again”. #LGBTQ #ab1955 #trans #huntingtonbeach

Next are parents from San Diego who have a gender questioning child in middle school. They blocked their child from researching transgender topics on YouTube. They felt the school “celebrated” the social transition. They forced their child to only use legal names and pronouns.

Family 5 does not want their child using they/them pronouns at high school, and says their child becoming gender fluid has resulted in “increasingly hostile behavioral problems.” Parents feel their rights are infringed as the school will not listen to them.

Family 6: Father says his 7 year old boy “has not displayed any issues with gender confusion despite attempts to push him to identify as a girl.” Kid’s mother sent kid to school in dresses, and father was uncomfortable with it. CLOTHES HAVE NO GENDER

Family 7: Parent is upset they can’t control every aspect of their high schoolers life and then wonders why their child did not come out to them. Parent even refuses to acknowledge their teenagers existence when someone calls them by their male name.

Family 8: Parent is afraid of their child learning about life and doesn’t feel schools should be teaching sex ed or talking about gender identity. Parent claims their child was “groomed and guided in transgenderism.” #lgbtq #trans #HuntingtonBeach

Family 9: Parent says child saw LGBTQ flags in a classroom and now child is constantly depressed and started questioning if he was gay. Parent says condition did not improve until child went to a Christian psychologist, so child could be “in tune with their biological self.”

Kalmick discusses the exit from the OC Power Authority. It cost the city around $89,000 on legal fees to leave. “It is cheaper than Edison. So by leaving, we have now increased the city’s energy costs by 3%, 2%. A couple hundred thousand dollars is my understanding.”
