The EAWC sent a letter to president Ursula von der Leyen with the facts about wolf conservation in Europe. We request for the protection status for the wolf to remain as it is today. The way forward is science-based coexistence not political scapegoating. wolf-alliance.org/eawc-statement…
A survey recently published by Eurogroup For Animals clearly shows that people in rural areas are in favor of coexistence with wolves. Those calling for the hunting of wolves are the farming and hunting lobbies which do not represent the majority of EU citizens. Ursula von der Leyen
