Got on the tube today. A man was face down in the middle of one carriage. Not a single person had checked to see if he was okay. I tried waking him and he was out cold. Everyone just stared. No guard at any station. Ended up running down the platform to tell the driver. People!

Paulette worked in catering in the House of Commons, where they made, and now refuse to unmake, the laws that meant she was made stateless, poor, and sick. As a consequence of which she died very young, for a person living in the UK in the 21st century.

Two years ago today, after a doctor’s appointment, I was told it would be a year to a year and a half before I could walk again. Fast forward, I finished my PhD, became a director/professor, wrote two books, with one forthcoming with InterVarsity Press and can walk 6 miles. Never give up!
