📢 📢📢 if you have feedback on the GPT-5 UX, especially for power users, drop your takes in this thread! no promises but very helpful for us to have grounding in specific problems/requests users have

You aren't feeding inspiration by swallowing endless podcasts and videos, you're choking it, silence is the oxygen of creativity, ideas can't breathe without it

bullish for science & humanity! definitely recommend 5 pro for deep review/analysis/critique/second opinion for important code/papers/proposals/etc, it shines there

Seems like people are really coming around to codex cli w/ gpt5-high!! What is codex cli still missing? How can we make it even better??

Eric (@ericmitchellai) 's Twitter Profile Photo

do people have experiences w gpt-5-high doing this kind of thing? trying to figure out if this is an "LLM thing" or a "this particular model family" thing...

Powerful models are... powerful, yes. But making them more collaborative and steerable is equally important in making them useful! This update is a huge usability win and I'm curious to hear what people think of it!

personally very excited about GPT-5.1 in Windsurf! this is not as much of a big intelligence update, but a UX / model behavior update that I think users will love the model is more fluid, overthinks less, and generally feels easier and smarter to work with i also respect

Okay, looks like this went out in the release notes already (I checked), so... (note: testing models is part of my job and this post is not sponsored by OpenAI in any way): I was invited to alpha test GPT-5.1 Pro alongside experts in robotics, math, immunology, medicine, music,

Yayyyy GPT-5.1 thinking and now GPT-5.1 pro are available! 5.1 models think longer for the hardest tasks but are much snappier for everyday queries. Their communication style is also much clearer. I daily drive 5.1 Thinking; it's night and day vs 5T! ...5.1 pro is just a beast
