PhD defended and done! Celebrated by spraying myself in the face with Prosecco 🍾 It was a wonderful time working in the Grant lab at Cambridge Vet School with the best people 🧡

Eeee! Our Campylobacter metabolic modelling paper is out! Trying to work out how it survives on different substrates, so pleased I complained to Dipali Singh about not understanding some results and from that, this project started! 🧫 🧬

An extremely useful tool for the field of Campylobacter created by Ruby Costigan during her PhD. She made a CRISPRi system for repressing genes of interest in Campylobacter and it has just been published, Congrats Ruby!!!!

Our study on the genomic assembly of clinical Candida glabrata, with ecological & clinical implications, is out in Microbiology Spectrum! Thanks to all the amazing co-authors C Constantinidou, Emily Stoakes, Chris Dowson,John Moat, Miruna David,Houdini Wu,Abid Hussain & al.! journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/sp…
