I have not heard this discussed much, but this point is spot on. Colleges and universities cannot sell themselves as bastions of environmental sustainability while also encouraging students and faculty to see ChatGPT as a learning tool they should integrate into their work.

Ok, here we go: Much of my work concerns the history and return of scientific racism. I’ve written extensively about attempts to resurrect the shuffling corpse of race science and eugenics for many years. Bigotry dressed up as biology. 1/n

I post this every few years, just because I like it ~ Alphonse Bertillon, pioneer of the front-&-profile criminal mugshot, did some practice runs with his nephew, a notoriously hardened criminal, aged 2. His crime? 'Nibbling pears' (Silver albumen print, 1893 MoMA)

I was asked by Nature to contribute to a piece on Black women in academia. I discussed stats on Black women professors and the current Black-lash where research funders/unis are rowing back on pledges to tackle anti-Black racism made in 2020. It is up now, open access!
