“I would make the rather unpopular argument that this is an amazing country and broadly speaking, there has never been a better time to live in it.” Fraser Nelson explores why the right are depicting Britain as lawless, despite progress made in reducing crime. @ChloeTilley

Farage is desperately trying to sabotage Britain's recovery. Reform tried to block some genuinely transformative laws. The polls would look very different if we talked about this more. 5 examples:

Farage warns Britain’s "lawless” and "near collapse”. Meanwhile violent crime halved, robberies down 60%, burglary down two-thirds, air and water cleaner, road deaths and killer diseases halved. Britain has positives, the govt need to show it Farage's arguments falling apart.

🚴‍♀️ London has done it. We’ve just been crowned Europe’s favourite city for cycling, a fantastic recognition of the progress we’ve made to make our city greener and more accessible for all. Our cycling boom is good for Londoners and is putting us on the map for cycle tourism.

.Sadiq Khan is not trying to impose Sharia Law on London. This is a Mayor who marches with Pride, who stands up for difference of background and opinion, who’s focused on improving our transport, our air, our streets, our safety, our choices and chances. Proud he’s our Mayor.
