NEW: Learning disabled people die 20+ years earlier than the general population. This is why. Myles was 31. He had a totally treatable blood clot yet a coroner found his medical treatment neglectful, complacent & dismissive. I spoke with his family. itv.com/news/2025-07-1…

Looks like DWP held back figures until after ‘welfare reform’ bill re UC was pushed through parliament. So MPs voting didn’t have all info needed to make an informed decision. There’s only one way you can look at this. Government doesn’t care disabled people died/will die.

Farage should never be interviewed without being forced to answer for failures of Brexit. That the man whose lies fuelled Brexit vote which has cost UK Billions & who said Liz Truss budget was “best Tory budget since 1986” could be trusted on *anything* is mind-boggling #bbclaura

There’s an important question here. In the run up to the third reading of the assisted dying bill, who was reassuring MPs that safety concerns would be sorted out in the House of Lords?

Disability News Service (@johnpringdns) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Sorry to say that's it. The universal credit bill has been passed. Not a great advert for the #Lords this evening, despite a small number of good speeches by those opposed. Full report by DNS on Thursday. Not feeling thrilled about democracy this evening. #UniversalCreditBill

Hi SWR Help please tell your platform staff at Clapham Junc. that they should NOT criticise disabled people for not booking assistance in advance, should NOT pressure disabled people to always book assistance in advance. Turn-up-and-go is our legal right!

Failed assist at London Bridge. Booked. My guess is they called Network Rail for my blind partner but not the ramp people. Then broken lift at platform 4/5. So we used the tube which is now suspended due to a signal failure. 😂

Okay, if you think you have experienced everything with public transport in London a bus driver topped everything today. He wanted to separate my blind partner with guide dog and me because a buggy wanted to board. He didn’t want that my partner sat next to the wheelchair space.

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts. The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative. Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

Woah, I was nearly properly overcarried on the Piccadilly line at Knightsbridge but two women blocked the doors. They were not even Londoners. Just decent human beings with a spine.
