Thanks Santos Franco for hosting me University of Colorado Anschutz to talk about our work on microglia! What a great group of PIs and trainees in an exceptionally collegial environment. You also can’t top the views!

R01’s are so hard for me to write. They have to be so safe and conservative and I just do not think about science that way. We need more mechanisms like DP2s and more accessible R35s. Imagine what we could do if we didn’t spend so much time writing low risk stuff.

I am excited to get this project moving with beth stevens to find new microglia modifiers. I am also excited to be part of the larger group of collaborative people that are in the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative network!
