New Study Questions the Link Between CQC Maternity Ratings and Clinical Outcomes I am pleased to share important findings from a new study, published in BJOG, that critically examines the association between inspection-informed maternity service ratings by the Care Quality

It is grotesque, but please don’t frame this as one deserves more than the other… maybe now nurses will finally see that we need to strike like the doctors did and we may actually get somewhere

In this video, Streeting: 🔸️Reminds us strikes work to win better pay 🔹️Lies about our pay by excluding inflation 🔸️patronises 🔹️claims his government, still boosting the private sector & doing sod all on public health, is saving the NHS 🟧 Vote YES 📮 Post by 30th June

This is pure spin. The truth? With this ‘pay rise’ doctors still have a 20% real terms PAY CUT! “But there’s no money” They can afford to pay 1st yr doctor’s assistants 30% MORE than 1st yr doctors. It is ALL deliberate So yes, I fully support resident doctor strikes

Wes should stop telling the public what they think and start negotiating with our union. We only need to strike because we trusted his offer last year in good faith. Never again. Union power works and the public should be asking what they could win too.

This is disingenuous and misleading. This is the scenario: - You have £100 - I take £40 from you - Now you have £60 - I give you £20 back - You now have £80 Is it really unreasonable for you to demand the remaining £20 back over the next few years?! No, it’s not.

Imagine someone nicks £40 from your £100. They give you £20 back, then call you greedy for asking for the rest. That’s what doctors are facing. They are being paid 20% less in real terms than they were in 2008. Full pay restoration is not an unreasonable demand.

I graduated as a doctor 4 years ago with ~£100k of debt, and despite working up to 72 hours a week, my debt has only increased. Doctors are being paid £17/hour and have to make loan repayments and pay thousands for exams and fees. We are only asking for £23/hour. Wes Streeting

"The Govt and NHS England both state today that the modest [waiting list] improvements we’ve seen so far are down to staff’s hard work. They now need to demonstrate this with more than words and commit to restoring doctors’ pay and value." Full response: bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

I’m not a doctor, I’m a paramedic. I can never replace a doctor, but I do often work alongside them. In the ongoing conversation about fairness in healthcare pay, one thing is clear: doctors deserve full pay restoration. This is not about inflating salaries, it’s about

Doctors currently earn £18.62 an hour, they are asking for £22.67 an hour. Their assistants get paid £24.45 an hour. How can Wes Streeting defend paying doctors less than their assistants?

Corey (@coreybriffa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Common sense has left the room. We’re pouring taxpayer money into an unproven experiment at higher cost, when we could simply train more doctors, fix bottlenecks, and pay them properly. Patients don’t need a cosplay doctor. They need a qualified one.

Consultants and SAS doctors in England - look out for your indicative ballot email from The BMA today! Wes Streeting called pay restoration "a journey, not an event" - so why have we stopped? Are you prepared to stand up to demand your value is recognised by the government?
