As the end to an overcast, wet and quite disappointing day 91106 heads 1D19 with MK4 rake NL16 (82222). As the stormy sky drew apart for a short spell of blue relief was felt by us three at Sandy station for we knew we were in for some proper sun. What a locomotive... (15/04/24)

Today, World War 2 veteran Ken Cooke travelled on our special InterCity 225 'For the Fallen' train on his way to Normandy. Ken makes this journey with his family and members of York Normandy Veterans ahead of the 80th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June.

We lost one of our own today. Thoughts are with everyone at Ipswich depot and his family. A truly devastating day. May your signals forever be green, drive. ❤️

91110 powers through Sandy with NL17 (82225) in tow on 1D19 (15/06/24) The usual story of the clouds coming over to ruin the perfect sun happened with 91114, 124 and 127. By 110 I thought it was going to be the same story but thankfully, a long period of blue sky pulled through.

91107 returns to the blocks straight to York on 1N81 (or so originally thought.) Unfortunately a speedometer fault with the set meant that the grand return was foiled by Doncaster and the set returned to Neville Hill. 107 was out of action between sometime in March and today.

91109 "Sir Bobby Robson" races north with NL08 (82211) on 1D06 at Langford (24/07/24). They never get boring despite the fact I've followed these specific trains my whole life. Neville Hill always help their beauty shine with their amazing work. 👏👏 225 Group London North Eastern Railway

91130 + NL12 (82212) 1D06 Offord Cluny A less common locomotive posted by me due to all attempts within the past year of this getting in north ending in cancellation, hazy sun or dull conditions. The unluckiest of all 12 for me, number 30 races north on 1D06 at Offord Cluny.

91111 + NL12 (82212) 1D18 Marholm The best 91 of all, number 11 accelerates after its stop at Peterborough as it passes Marholm. The autumn late October rays of sunshine lighting it up on its Sunday voyage to Leeds. 225 Group London North Eastern Railway

91114 "Durham Cathedral" and Pet 91127 "Neville Hill" stand side by side under the night lights and roof of London Kings Cross. 91114 would, minutes later, work 1D27 for Leeds, with set NL16 and DVT 82222 whilst 91127 had just come off of 1G14 with set NL12 and DVT 82212.
