In 2015 the Bridgewater Community Preservation Committee in coordination with funding from The Trustees, Wildlands Trust and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts purchased the conservation rights for the Murray Farm and for the Need Farm. #openspace #conservation #farming

Local approval of the Community Preservation Act allows Bridgewater to raise revenues through a surcharge on property tax bills, which will be matched by a dedicated state fund. The Local Community Preservation Fund can then be used to pay for eligible local projects.

With CPC funding, the Town of Bridgewater was able to restore the Memorial Building ceiling, a detailed plaster restoration project that was managed by an architectural historian that specializes in traditional mortars. #history #historicpreservation #mortar #ceilings #preserve
