Working through some old images, I think this is the #moth Stigmella lapponica. Found on Birch (Betula) on Thursley Common, Surrey, UK June 2014. Would appreciate confirmation or correction from those more expert.

A #fossil from #Whitby found in 2016. Looks vaguely like a vertebra but I'm likely wrong. Any thoughts NHM Fossil Mammals. Lines on the paper are about 7mm apart so perhaps around 28mm in diameter.
