An outstanding career and a fine man - thanks to Bernard De Bruyne for his many contributions to improving patient care
🚀 IPD meta-analysis just published in the #EHJ 🚀 We show that TiNO stents used in ACS have similar rates of MACE and TLR as DES but lower rates of CD, MI, and stent thrombosis. It's a game-changer! #Cardiology #TiNOStents #AcuteCoronarySyndromes Bernard De Bruyne Carlos Collet MD PhD
Excitant news in the world of coronary stenting. As compared to DES, TiNO stents show significant and consistent reduction in cardiac death, MI’s, and stent thrombosis after a 5-year FU in ACS patients. Divaka Perera CircInterventions Ozan M. Demir British Heart Foundation PCRonline 🫀 Morton J Kern Carlos Collet MD PhD Mona Tirén Ziad Ali William Fearon Simone Biscaglia Gianluca Campo Right findings, wrong interpretation: When measured with micromanometer-tipped wires, distal coronary pressure is ALWAYS lower (4-5 mmHg) in the LAD than in the LCx. Thus, FFR and NHPR (RFR, iFR, etc.) are consistently a bit lower.

Just published in Circulation #OnMyMind What is "rest"? Is a patient lying on a cathlab table truly “at rest”? Using continuous thermodilution, we show that resting coronary flow can vary significantly Bernard De Bruyne Adriaan Wilgenhof ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.11…
