Unimpressed by travel money service at M&S Pudsey (Owlcotes). Pre-ordered euros online, arrived during the hours it can be collected. Yet staff on their break & no-one else available to serve me until they return. I'll go elsewhere for my travel money in future!!

Dr Steve Taylor Wes Streeting Department of Health and Social Care I pay my Barber per haircut. Two a month costs me twice that of once a month. I want a skilled Barber too, not a BarberAssociate. I have to book my preferred Barber (Franco, presently) a week+ in advance. Their app is easier to use than yours too, Wes, and they ask me to

GPs want patients to be able to see GPs Yet Wes Streeting is not listening to their concerns There are unemployed GPs & practices with too little funding to employ them Online access 8am-6.30pm without the support will be a disaster for patients & will reduce actual appts

If Wes Streeting thinks GPs are stuck in 20thC, visit a hospital We are the science museum! ➡️Electronic records since 1991 ➡️Online triage ➡️Ambient scribes ➡️SMS ➡️Online bookings ➡️Electronic prescribing ➡️Online referrals ➡️Video consults DAYS after 1st lockdown…. 1/x

And guess what? NHS England own data from August: I’ve just found the following dataset: digital.nhs.uk/data-and-infor… “Submissions via Online Consultation Systems in General Practice, August 2025” Well well well… 🕵️‍♀️   2/x

@DrKatie.BSky.Social (@doctor_katie) 's Twitter Profile Photo

NHS England According to this data 💥5,967 (over 96%) of practices in England have at least one online consultation system   💥5.1 million patient online submissions occurred in August 💥3.5 million clinical, the rest admin (For context every A&E nationwide offers 67,000/day) 3/x

@DrKatie.BSky.Social (@doctor_katie) 's Twitter Profile Photo

NHS England On average 88.9 submissions per 1,000 patients in August 2025 The range = 0 to 884.8 online consults, per day, per practice Why do NHS England Department of Health and Social Care insist on treating all practices the same? Why can’t we temporarily pause online when we are full? This is not safe 4/x

NHS England Department of Health and Social Care General Practice Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) CQCProf GMC We lack the resources, capacity and capabilities to meet the needs of our patients if we can’t switch off online requests when we are full Not to mention mandating we MUST contact the patient THAT SAME DAY no matter how many patients contact us 🤯 Not safe 6/x

@DrKatie.BSky.Social Dr Steve Taylor Wes Streeting I am not a “laggard”. 1st GP in Cheshire to use online test requesting and 1st to make a C&B referral. My patients have been able to book appointments for 18 years IT/online is currently not safe for patients
