.SafeStreetsJC & 🚲Bike JC🗽 hosted a vigil in Hamilton Park last night for Eli Bender, the 6-year-old #JerseyCity resident who was fatally struck by a UPS truck on Friday while bicycling. " … We knew that you were bound for greatness." FULL STORY: hudsoncountyview.com/jersey-city-st…

Join the #EnoughIsEnough rally June 23. We're tired of false promises of more enforcement. Demand curb extensions, raised intersections, lower speed limits, metal bollards, and protected bike lanes to keep all road users—young and old—safe. Demand safer streets.

Very exciting safety developments on Summit Ave--Mayor Fulop and Infra Director Patel have bypassed opposition from the Municipal Council (at the behest of Councilman Boggiano). They're installing protected bike lanes along the length of Summit Ave through Journal Sq!

A shout out to our Transportation Committee and its chair Adam Cohen who spearheaded pushing for improvements to Five Corners. We’re delighted to see this area get the attention it needed!

At 9 a.m. this Tuesday, there was virtually no traffic backing up the Newark Bay Bridge or into Bayonne's ports. Why is the New Jersey Turnpike and, now, Mikie Sherrill so hell-bent on burning $11 billion on a highway widening scheme when congestion pricing solved the problem for us?

Join us tomorrow at 5:30pm to rally at the first public comment opportunity by the Turnpike Authority. It's completely backwards vs their decision making progress, but this is an opportunity to push back after the primary. Let us know/RSVP here: actionnetwork.org/events/rally-a…

Beautiful photo of the impromptu protected bike lane next to One Journal Sq by 🚲Bike JC🗽 with the new green space in the background. Love that City Hall isnt waiting for the council to catch up on these improvements, and can't wait for it to become paved and permanent!

Maybe next time he'll think before he speeds... jcitytimes.com/op-ed-the-deat… Bad musical puns aside, I felt this piece to my core. I regularly yell at drivers doing dangerous shit. But in recent days just yelling (into the void, let's be honest) doesn't feel like enough.

NYC’s congestion pricing toll has cut Manhattan traffic delays by 25% and reduced gridlock in nearby New Jersey counties by as much as 14%, undercutting fears the policy would worsen traffic outside the city bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

.Mikie Sherrill - Now that you got what you wanted from Craig Guy and Hudson County Dems, you can come out and publicly oppose the Turnpike widening now that IUOE Local 825 has thrown you under the bus. It's been clear since New York implemented congestion pricing that it isn't needed.

.Katie Brennan and I attended another public hearing on the NJ Turnpike widening - and I said what we’ve been saying from day one: this project is absolutely wrong for our communities, and a disaster in the making. $11 billion to widen a highway while our public transit

On Wednesday, I joined advocacy groups and community members to speak out against the widening of the I-78 turnpike extension. Stop the turnpike trap!
