Yesterday, we celebrated exceptional educators and school staff from across the province for Education Week 2025. More than 70 award winners were recognized from all regional centres for education and the CSAP. A special thank you to J.L. Ilsley High School for hosting!

Students from pre-primary to Grade 12, post-secondary students and new Nova Scotians will receive Nova Scotia Loyal vouchers to help them discover and enjoy local products at participating farmers’ markets. The $10 voucher will be sent home this month.

Clarissa Allen is a Lead ECE with the Pre-Primary Program at Glooscap Elementary. Her passion for creating enriching learning experiences, combined with her commitment to inclusion and active learning, fosters a learning environment where every child feels valued and motivated.

Throughout her career as a teacher, administrator, mentor, and now as Coordinator of French & Programs, Laurie is always working to find innovative ways to support teachers and engage students in French language and cultural learning, music, phys ed, Science Fair and more.

Andrew embodies innovation in education. He develops unique, hands-on learning and career exploration experiences, liaises with tradespeople and businesses to connect students with careers, mentors other teachers, and is always expanding his own knowledge.

Nick integrates emerging technologies and practical problem-solving in his teaching, so students in grades 6-12 can learn design, construction, and technical applications. His ever-evolving course content combines innovation and craftsmanship in unique, hands-on projects.
