On Monday, a solar eclipse will occur across Nova Scotia when the moon passes between the Earth and sun.
Thanks to a collaboration with Discovery Centre all Nova Scotia public school students are getting their very own pair of eclipse glasses to view this rare and exciting event!

April 4, 2024: Schools in Kings County and Annapolis County are closed today due to forecast weather and road conditions. Schools in the West Hants area remain open.

In partnership with Daikin, Acadia Refrigeration and EMCO, students in the AVRCE have been learning about refrigeration, HVAC and heat pumps! This was at Avon View in January, students will do the same at AWEC and CK this spring!

April is Autism Acceptance Month, and April 2 is World Autism Acceptance Day, highlighting the importance of inclusion and acceptance at school and in the community.
