Week 3 of the Xposure Runs; Summer Open-Runs welcomed Eisenhower Boys Basketball Aj Abrams, who is a modern-day Jim Thorpe (Google him). A Football Star, Track Star & of course Basketball star (1K pt scorer & 2x SSC Red POY). He's been putting on full display why he is a 2x SSC Red POY!

The #2 Bulldogs won the opener and their 65th straight home game as 3 freshmen were the only double digit scorers. They shot 65% for the field.

The #10 Bulldogs won there’s 3rd straight road game. 3 freshmen score 20+ pts. Tyler Wooten career high 25 pts. Samar Bures career high 24 Pts. AJ Abrams 23 Pts. Soph Kuba Senczyszyn 10 pts rounded out double figure scorers. SSC improved to 4-1

The # 9 Bulldogs improved to 8-1 as they have 3 freshmen score in double figures. Led by AJ Abrams stat filling 21 pts 7 rebs & 9 assts. Tanner Fields scores a career high 17 pts. Ty Wooten chipped in 16 pts while grabbing 10 rebs.

The Bulldogs (16-7) won their 6th str8 w/a hard fought 79-75 victory over the Bosco Institute.  Fr G Tanner Fields scored a career high of 20 pts FR G AJ Abrams filled up the stat sheet 18 pts., 7 rebs 6 assts 6 steals.  So G Taurean Mickens chipped in 12 pts

The Bulldogs upset #18 Bryant & Stratton (WI) 83-79 B/S came into the game w/ a 14-game winning streak SSC was led in scoring by Fr G AJ Abrams 28 pts 10 Rebs Fr Samar Bures (18 pts.) & Ty Wooten (10 pts). So G Taurean Mickens scored 16 pts & made 2 FTs w/:08 left to seal the W

Congrats to South Suburban College freshmen duo of AJ Abrams & Samar Bures. Both were named to the NJCAA Region IV 1 st Team All Region. Both r nominated for All American status. HC John Pigatti has had a 1 st Team All Region player in every season (19) he has been at SSC.

South Suburban College’s Fr G AJ Abrams was named to the NJCAA Div II Honorable Mention All-American Team. Abrams averaged 17 pts 4.9 assists, 7.6 rebs & 2.5 steals.  He is the 20th All-American that Head Coach John Pigatti has had in his 19 seasons as the head coach at SSC.
