Fernando is the first student in DDE history to win this scholarship, which assists caddies with outstanding academic records and limited financial means.

What a tremendous night our kids had yesterday, cut a bit short by mother nature, but can't take away from what our group accomplished. In the events completed, our boys and girls took 9 total District Titles. The boys were well in the lead, with the combined team scores close!

And the speed was on full display in the 100 dash with Nick Mayfield blazing to a huge PR and 3rd place finish. Congrats to Milan Williams, defending District and conference champion, who rolled to a victory in the 100 Meter dash.

In the Jumps Kandace Taylor leaped to a 3rd place finish in Triple jump. Micah Calvin took 3rd in high Jump.

Zainab Oyekunle smashed her personal best on her way to a 3rd place finish in the 400. Mike Donaldson took 2nd in pole Vault while Kwan Johnson continues to medal with 3rd in Shot Put.

Top three finishes include Lashawn Scott, Amaya Adams and Tatiana Sanders in the 100 Hurdles, Lashawn also took 2nd in the 300 Hurdles.

Relays dropped some heat today, with the ladies 4*100 of Layla Williams, Milan Williams, Kandace Taylor and Karma Lewis taking 2nd, the boys 4*100 Relay of Zayre Uche, Nick Mayfield, Kam Taylor, and AJ Abrams took the win. Lorielle Brown and Tariq Murray helped 4*200s go top 3!
