NOW: PAGASA-DOST holds a press conference for the launch of PANaHON 3D Web-Based Decision Support Information System in the observance of the Typhoon and Flood Awareness Week 2025.


Weather bureau PAGASA-DOST relaunches its PANaHON monitoring and visualization platform with upgraded features in its interactive map and consolidated advisories and warnings. It aims to improve access to accurate weather information and support planning and DRRM efforts.


A Low Pressure Area that formed off the coast of northeastern Iloilo Monday afternoon was spotted over the coastal waters of Aroroy, Masbate at 8 p.m. June 16. PAGASA-DOST says the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.


The Low Pressure Area being monitored in the waters of MIMAROPA was located 70 km east southeast of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro at 8 a.m. Tuesday. PAGASA-DOST said it is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone as it may dissipate within the day. #WeatherPatrol

The Low Pressure Area inside the Philippine area of responsibility was in the vicinity of San Jose, Batangas at 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to PAGASA-DOST. It remains unlikely to develop into a storm but will continue to bring rains over parts of Central and Southern Luzon.

The Low Pressure Area over Batangas has dissipated early Wednesday, June 18, according to PAGASA-DOST. However, scattered rains may still be experienced today in many parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, due to the Easterlies and in southern Mindanao due to the ITCZ.


A new Low Pressure Area formed over the coastal waters of Bolinao, Pangasinan at 8 a.m. this Wednesday. PAGASA-DOST says it is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone.
