Raphinha on a Ballon d’or level season right now. In all comps: 29 games 21 goals 9 assists If Barca win the league or UCL and his form continues, he has as good of a chance as anybody.

Last season Man City conceded 2 or more just 11 times in all competitions. This season they’ve already conceded 2 or more on 13 separate occasions. Khusanov and Reis both in, but if they don’t sign a defensive midfielder this January, I can’t see this defence improving.

Shai has to be MVP, barring injuries or a major fall off. He’s averaging 32/5/6 on the No.1 team in a very tough western conference.

Garnacho really doesn’t seem like a Maresca winger if you look at the profiles of Madueke, Neto, Sancho etc. Garnacho at his best is on the counter attack, getting in behind and exposing a high line. Maresca wants possession and needs players who can break down a low block.

Looking at this bench is the reason I can’t agree with anyone who’s completely Ange out. No manager could deal with the injuries he’s had and yet he is still on course to win them their first trophy for 17 years.

What a touch and finish that is from Maddison. Such a technically excellent footballer, he just needs to be much more consistent for longer periods of time.

Khusanov should start against Chelsea. City only have Stones and Akanji as CB options for Brugge next week and can’t afford to lose one of them before that. It’s the perfect opportunity to see how Khusanov will fit into Pep’s team and how ready he is for regular football.

This Bournemouth team really are something else. Iraola has made them one of the best teams to watch and are now getting the results they deserve. Putting five past this Forest side is unbelievable, but no more than they deserve. Kluivert immense again.

Man City and Pep always get credited for how teams never go long and persist with playing out from the back. But today they showed that when teams press man-to-man they have the ability to play longer, which lead to 2 of the goals. Pep got one over on Maresca today.

Surprised Levy is being this patient with Ange given their league position. But it’s the correct decision considering the injuries and lack of signings to replace the missing players.

This Jimmy Butler situation is such a mess. Demanded a trade over a month ago and has now been suspended again. At his age he wants to win but the contract and his lack of staying healthy makes it a risk for any team. The Miami Heat need to find a trade for him and fast.

Owen Page (@_owenpage) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Here’s the first big trade rumour then, outside of the Jimmy Butler mess. De’Aaron Fox averaging 25 points per game and six assists would be the perfect fit for teams like the Rockets, Magic or Spurs. It’s time for the Kings to trade for future stars or picks as well.

Wow. Something has to be off with Luka and the Mavs behind the scenes. Literally no one saw this coming and Doncic is the most loved Mavs player since Dirk. For the Lakers this makes so much sense to allow Lebron to play off ball and give him an unbelievable second option.

Tel coming in is huge for Spurs, even if it’s a loan without a buy option. Surprised Arsenal didn’t get involved for Tel as they need a striker if they want to win anything this season. Unless they have something in the works before the window shuts tonight.

Another massive trade before the deadline tomorrow. Jimmy Butler to the Warriors is defensively interesting but with Wiggins going the other way are they much better than before? It will give Steph Curry more of a chance of winning come playoff time though, if they make it.

Great effort from Leyton Orient but De Bruyne was the difference again for Manchester City today. Jamie Donley, on loan from spurs, was incredible. Unfortunate to not be credited for the goal.

That half of football from Marmoush has shown exactly what Man City have missed this season. Someone else who is clinical in front of goal when teams try and mark Haaland out of the game. But it’s not just his hat trick, it’s his movement off of Haaland to find the space itself.

Really poor performance this by Liverpool’s standards. Been sloppy all second half and have created very little. The state of their first goal has summed up their performance really. They need to be seeing this game out before the bigger challenges ahead.

A big shout out to the BBC Sport Essex team who have worked tirelessly all season on and off air, and went above and beyond on Sunday for 9 hours of live coverage from Wembley 📻 It had everything but the result…⚽️
