Over a small misunderstanding, God will expose exactly how people feel about you.

You have no control over how people choose to behave or show up, you simply only have control over how you behave and how you show up, focus on that.

Set your goals, take action and put all your trust in knowing regardless of the outcome of your decisions, God knows exactly what He’s doing with you.

You still do, Allah hasn’t put a restriction on what we can and can’t take to him. Regardless of your situation, He’ll always be ready to hear from you.

The most fulfilling lesson that I’ve learnt this year is learning to worship and serve God simply because of who He is and not because of what He has done and can do for me. Regardless of what He does, He’ll always be worthy of praise.

Ask my husband?

The Nigerian embassy and whatever absurd system that they have in place is absolutely diabolical. There’s nothing more that irritates my soul.

Ask Allah to call you. Whenever I struggle with it, I make dua and ask Allah to forgive me for whatever it is that’s blocking me getting up. When I do eventually get up, I thank Him for choosing me to be amongst those He wants to hear from that night.

Normalize saying "I don't think we have the kind of relationship that should make you comfortable enough to say that to me" when someone tries to get too familiar.

My idea of being rich is having other people provide services/schedule things on your behalf to give you more time to do what you want. i.e a cleaner, a house manager, a driver, a cook, a PT, a nanny, a PA. I don’t care for bag and shew, I need to afford SERVICE PROVIDERS!

My new year literally starts after Ramadan.

Over the coming weeks & months, we will see wall-to-wall coverage of Israeli hostages & POWs on mainstream news, complete with emotional deep-dives into each of their individual stories. Meanwhile, little attention will be paid to Palestinian prisoners & hostages set free.

You have to let people pass in and out of your life and not hold on so tightly. People change, things happen. There are people I thought I’d be friends with forever who I don’t speak to anymore and people I met the other day who I speak to daily.

I’m sure the people who are meant to come back will when the time is right. In the meantime I’m really trying to be grateful and show up for the friends that are still here making an effort - they’re the ones that matter!
