I find it interesting that a) the prize ceremony was already held in Italy (not Israel) before they announced the winners' names; b) only ONE person on the list has publicly announced their win; c) one of the winners has left Twitter. It is as if they are ashamed or something.

Thrilled to share that “River Landscapes: A New Glossary”, a transdisciplinary project that my collaborators and I, across South Asia and Europe have worked on for a year, has recently launched.

It reflects on the extractive language that we commonly use to describe rivers, and creates a new glossary which acknowledges them as landscapes shared by many species and cultures.
