For todays #TuesdayHighlight and for the crossover between Hispanic Heritage Month and LGBTQIA+ History Month we have Sylvia Rivera. She is best known for her role in the Stonewall Riots. She also helped create the STAR House which provided shelter to homeless LGBQIA+ youth.

Next week, our favorite furry friends are back for PAWSitively Stress Free Monday, Dec. 6 and Tuesday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. on Floor 3 w/ therapy dogs, coloring, chair massage, and more to help get you through the last few days.

February 1st is recognized as National Freedom Day. This day commemorates the signing of the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in 1865. Though the 13th amendment didn't end slavery or racism, it is a significant piece of US history and of the Civil Rights movement.
