Today the Trilateral Mechanism has met with civil society organisations in Kassala to hear their views regarding justice and political inclusion.

The Trilateral Mechanism met with SPLM-N Abdelaziz Al-Hilu and Abdulwahid Al-Nur yesterday in Juba to hear their views on the political crisis in Sudan and the way forward.

I was pleased to represent the EU yesterday at an important meeting involving the civilian and military signatories of the Political Framework Agreement, the Tripartite Mechanism and the US, UK, UAE and KSA Quad. The political process is gaining momentum.

Attending the third of the Transitional Justice workshop, I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the rich experiences of Colombia and South Africa presented by former H Commissioner for Peace Sergio Jaramillo and former SA Constitution Court Justice Albie Sachs.

The Trilateral Mechanism held a constructive meeting today with “non-signatories parties” to the Framework Agreement in the context of its facilitation role to help finding a political solution in Sudan.
