Fantastic visit to the Isle of Eigg earlier this week to learn about the success of the community owned energy scheme Eigg Electric. They operate their own micro-grid generating clean power for the whole community from solar, hydro and wind.

With GB Energy we want to harness the potential of communities to deliver local power plans and support new models of electricity generation. Thanks to everyone on the island who spoke to me about the positive impact this project has had and the lessons learned along the way.
