Hispanic Potluck on Friday was a huge success! We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with traditional Hispanic foods such as Salvadorian pupusas, Venezuelan beef pastelitos and Tequenos, tamales, pastel de tres leches barbacoa, chorizo, etc. West Lake Middle School

Students debated the pros and cons of the Spanish conquest of South and North America. They studied and reenacted the "moral debate" in Spanish between Sepulveda and Las Casas. Students were very forceful in communicating their arguments in Spanish! West Lake Middle School
