When I was 11, I said to a parent. "I think this world is just not for me..." 💔 To think of a child saying this is heartbreaking. Fast forward through 2 more decades of severe trauma, mistreatment, and a few incorrect diagnoses. And then I found out I am #AuDHD.

A new study found that 21% of autistic people had PTSD compared to 4% of non-autistic people, despite exposure to trauma being similar, suggesting that autistic people are more likely to develop PTSD. Trauma services must be autism friendly and adjusted for autistic people.

The autistic urge to understand things on a deeper level. In situations where a lot of people are content just knowing that [X] is the way it is, you often need to know why [X] is the way it is to feel content.

Not all Autistic people are 'amazing' at mathematics. I do, however, happen to be one of the people who excels at mathematics. Though, being at a family gathering is extremely stressful for me and burns more mental fuel than a NASA launch 🚀
