What law change would you introduce in rugby to make the game more entertaining? One idea: eliminate conversions for tries scored within 5 metres of the posts. Automatically awarding the extra points in these cases would speed up the game and keep the momentum flowing.

Some good stuff from Stuart Lancaster. Expect a fresh-looking Connacht team and a few shocks with big names possibly sidelined. He’s clearly out to build his own squad. Wouldn’t rule out a Leinster loanee or two before the season kicks off. Who’s on the wish list??

Brilliant insight into Connacht’s session with new backs coach Rob Seib. The detail, the energy — exactly what fans want to see. More of this, please Connacht Rugby. The player-fan disconnect has been obvious. Content like this bridges the gap. x.com/connachtrugby/…

Good to see Connacht’s new full-back and kicking option, Sam Gilbert, scoring tries in NPC — but it could indicate he won’t be playing in the URC until November or December. There isn’t exactly a huge amount of full back options in the squad. Maybe Shane Jennings?

Interesting to see the provinces depending a lot more on the academy, here is a rough list of in and out. Munster and Ulster have added lots, Connacht would look a lot weaker on paper, but obviously new coaching might give a bump. Players IN (Pro) •Sam Crean – Prop, 25, from

The new season’s creeping up, but the hype’s been flat so far — so let’s spark a bit of debate 🔥 Name two players from each province you think could have huge seasons 👇 Connacht •Shayne Bolton – Could be a Six Nations starter •Cathal Forde – Aiming for a November squad

Reports suggest the URC/WRU may cut Welsh teams from four to two, with new clubs in Boston and New York to boost interest ahead of the 2031 World Cup. That would leave fans with maybe two realistic away trips a season—beyond Italy, South Africa or the USA. It’s money over
