Took my Wildlife Mgmt & Dr. McC's Soil Genesis students on an all-day field trip to Specht's farm where he grazes cattle for Bobolinks, Effigy Mounds National Monument, and Bloody Run WMA where Clayton CCB is restoring an oak savanna!

Working with these folks would be pretty amazing:

.UpperIowa hosted a workshop put on by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Iowa DNR and NRCS_Iowa about #rustypatchedbumblebee ID, phenology, & habitat. Ended up with 6 Bombus spp including fed endangered RPBB! UIU’s restored prairies are doing what they’re supposed to!

This was a really great workshop!
