The clock is ticking on private plant breeders sticking to the Canadian market. The worst case scenario is underfunded public breeding and inability to attract private breeders. realagriculture.com/2019/12/the-cl…

What a great story. Farmers wanted a wheat for a specific farming system and the breeder responded. It's nice that farmers can invest via an fair and efficient #valuecreation system and get such an awesome ROI in new and innovative varieties.

The Devil of Ag Seed Value Creation Canada Hi Danny. Are you suggesting Australian farmers have not declared their #valuecreation system a success? I agree detail is important, but any system will be detailed and farmers will have the choice to participate or not. Like any other technology they chose to use on their farm.

CPTA is attempting to stop unscrupulous buyers seeking Canadian developed seed varieties for export in violation of international distribution agreements. Unauthorized exports of leading Canadian varieties of cereals, pulses, and oilseeds are damaging to Canadian farmers.

With a week left to vote, I hope the Canadian seed industry doesn't reject the Seeds Canada proposal. Let's not make the same mistake my community did 15 years ago. We're still paying for it. Via @GerminationMag #westcdnag #cdnag ow.ly/mUf130r5aTu
